Antumapu

Antumapu is a very beautiful campus. Is one of the greenest campuses of the University of Chile. The campus includes the faculty of Veterinary, Agronomist, Forester and Natural resources. The Faculty of Veterinary is separated of the other by Farm world. Farm world is a place that receive visit of children, and they can see and learn about different animal, such as farm animal, in example cows, chickens, horses, rabbits, donkeys, sheep, goat and geese.  But others animal exist in Farm world like ostriches and deer. Includes a lagoon surrounded by many crops. Have a casino to eat, and many rustic tables, that make a very comfortable place to lunch, with the nature round you. By this reason, Farm world is one of my preferred places to eat.

The Faculty of Veterinary is very familiar, separated of the other Faculties, with small structure, many individuals that remind cabins, and is very attractive that doesn’t present any structure of two floors.  The advantage is that almost all veterinary students interact, but the disadvantage is that being separated from the other schools produces less contact with students of other faculties.

The side of the campus with Agronomist, Forester and Natural resources has many more interaction between the students. Parties made in Antumapu are good, especially the “Fonda Antumapu” in September, in which dance “Cueca”, and has a very folk atmosphere, that allows return to our traditions.

About the name I don´t know the meaning or the origin of this, sound as a Machupe word, but I am not sure of this.

I can say that Antumapu is a good campus, in contact with nature and a friendly atmosphere, allowing a relaxed area to study. Perhaps should have better infrastructure, but is a great campus to study
